9/11 Twin Towers
My two media sources are CNN News and History Channel. The disaster I am covering is the 9/11 when the two twin towers collapsed. When this happens was in September 11th,2001 at 8:21am. Where all of this took place was in new york. The people that was there was 19 militants, over 400+ hundred firefighters and people who worked in the twin towers. There was over 200 firefighter that died in the 9/11. The 9/11 happened to drive the U.S from muslim land and to expel westerner/americans. My two media sources are alike by the they both gave me important facts on the 9/11 devastation.They are also the same because they both tell about the history. They are different because CNN doesn't give a lot of videos on the 9/11 history channel had more …show more content…
Cnn doesn't give any graphic or bloody bods. The history channel is sensitive to the reader's emotions . the history channel doesn't show any blood or graphics. Both c news and the history channel are the same they don't show people hanging themselves or fatality. One strengths of Cnn is they show lot of videos on how the 9/11 ended up. One of the weaknesses is in the videos they didn't show a lot in the video on how they attacked the twin towers. One history channel's strengths are they showed videos and a lot of history behind the area of the the twin towers. There was more than enough info info provided for both Cnn news and history channel. The info I got was accurate for. For Cnn news and history channel there wasn't live footage. I came along way from researching the 9/11 attack. My resources Cnn news and history channel were reliable journalist for giving me information on the 9/11. They impact our interpretation of event related to world-wide disasters because it gives information to kids like me who weren't here to see and who want to know more about 9/11. What I have researched was that there was over 200 firefighters were killed during the 9/11

    The September 11 attacks were a series of suicide attacks by Al-Qaeda upon the United States. On the morning of the attacks 19 of Al-Qaeda’s terrorists hijacked four jet airliners. The hijackers then crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, killing everyone on board and many of those who were working in the buildings.     On September 11, 2001 our country was struck by a series of devastating, and remember able terrorist attacks. Many remember seeing devastating images and video, of some of our beloved country’s most prized landmarks being destroyed and crashed into by hijacked commercial airlines. Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda took away lives, security, and pride from our country that day, and things have never been the same since. This brings up a very controversial issue that has been addressed by a college student named Dylan Avery and a few of his friends who created a movie called “loose change” which addressed many 9/11 conspiracies. Three of the main conspiracies addressed are, the US Air Force was ordered to “stand down” on 9/11, or allow these attacks to happen, the impact of the plains could not have been enough to knock down both 110 story towers so explosives must have been detonated in the buildings at the same time of the impacts, and finally the use of “squibs” or controlled explosives, suggesting that the damage caused by the planes wasn’t all that caused the towers to collapse. There are no 9/11 conspiracies that can’t and haven’t already been debunked. Some believe that these attacks were thought out , and planned by our government in accordance with Osama Bin Laden and his group of terrorists know as Al Qaeda. On the other hand there are the “debunkers,” people who have disproved 9/11 conspiracies by reenacting, and researching the happenings of that day.…

    Reading the book 102 Minutes, we see the perspective of the people who were trapped in the towers, but it also gives us the information about the 1993 bombing. This book states, “The 1993 bombing marked it as an icon and target.” ( Dwyer and Flynn 21). Reading this we can see that the September 11 attack on the Twin Towers was not the first attempt ever made. In my opinion the bombing of 1993 was a warning to the United States saying, “Look what we are capable of doing to your country.” Their plan was to kill around two hundred fifty-thousand people with one bomb. Unfortunately the bomb killed six people but injuring thousands. This mishap did not stop terrorism against America; one the other hand it was opening a door for them. “ From most perspectives, the 1993 bombing of the trade center, killing six people, had been a bleak moment, marking the arrival of terrorism to America” (Dwyer and Flynn 133). The history of terrorism has been nothing but hard work. It was like they never gave till they were happy with their actions. To my understanding Bin Laden says that it is more important for Muslims to kill American people than any other activity. Another event in the history of terrorism attacks was the USS Cole Attack in 2000.
