8th Grade Graduation Speeches
Eighth grade graduation is a small milestone in your life, but a milestone none the less. Last year I graduated with all of my friends that I’ve had from the very beginning. After graduation we had an after graduation party. We went bowling at Western Bowl in Amarillo, I learned that I’m not gonna become a professional bowler anytime soon! After bowling we went to IHOP at like 1:00 a.m., because who doesn’t love breakfast food in the middle of the night? Imagine this, a group of eighth graders in IHOP at 1:00 a.m. you just know something is going to happen. Everything started of good...we showed up, ordered our food, talked and had a good time. Until every single one of us began to simple out, which is when you are so tired that all you do

One begins singing “this girl is on fire”, very badly and off key I might add, but doesn’t finish the song. So what do recently graduated eighth graders do? They scream, or what they consider singing, end of the song. Needless to say we made some college friends that day, but we most definitely didn’t make friends with the manager of IHOP. In fact, we almost got kicked out of IHOP at 1:00 a.m., because IHOP is a “family establishment” so we shouldn’t be yelling across the restaurant. It’s not everyday you that you almost get kicked out of IHOP. As we were leaving I drank the last of who knows how many orange juices. Groom is about 45 miles from Amarillo and I had to pee the entire way home. I was near tears and by the time we pulled into the driveway I was already out of the JEEP, up the steps, in the house and to the bathroom. Oh what a relief it was! I learned 3 things that day, I’m never gonna be a professional bowler, you CAN get kicked out of IHOP at 1:00 in the morning and to use the bathroom before driving 45 miles after drinking 3 glasses or more of orange juice. My class is an adventure waiting to happen and I can’t wait to see what happens
