As a freshman in highschool it can be difficult to stayed focused and set proper goals for your future, fortunately the book The 7 Habits of a Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey can help solve this problem.Taking responsibility for their own actions is definitely something freshmens have trouble with, so Habit , Be proactive , can be very important and useful. Also habits 2 and 3, Begin with the end in mind and Put first things first, are great tools to keep in mind when starting high school. Being accountable for your own actions is a very significant factor to making freshman year a smooth one. The first habit in the book The 7 Habits of highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey is a habit that can help freshmen with being responsible. Covey writes, “Proactive people make choices based on values. They think before they act. They recognize they can’t control everything that happens to them, but they can control what they do about it”( Covey 57). The author explains how proactive people think before they act and control the way they act.
