6.05 Ocean Interactions
Seafood affects the Earth’s spheres both negatively and positively. If there is an oil spill that kills thousands of types of seafood humans will not have that same amount of food source to rely on anymore. If there is not the right amount of seafood then the food chain will fall apart too creating even less food for us and the animals that would feed on it. Seafood is a treasure/resource and it could become endangered by people keep capturing it and selling it as an upper-class food item. Some strategies that we can protect it is by creating laws that when you are fishing for it that you can only keep them above a certain size or downsize where you can go and catch seafood. You can also help preserve it by picking up trash on the beach, help prevent pollution, and help to create laws.
