I believe that people should be able to choose what they read, and that other people shouldn’t hold that right from them. In the article we all read on Laurie Halse Anderson, she says that adults just have to suck it up sometimes. I support reasonable censorship, such as not letting little kids read things with graphic sexual content or strong language, but nothing really heavy for older kids, like not letting them read books with violence or with controversial topics in them. Books such as the Harry Potter series shouldn’t be banned just because they have magic and witchcraft in them, but books like 50 Shades of Gray should definitely be.
