5/3 Pavlon Research Paper
While doing more investigation I learned that 5/3 Pavillon hasn't always been the center of entertainment full of family friendly restaurants and community events. It once displayed the peak of racial conflict. Cheapside was known for the slave auctions. The sales would tear families apart. Modern day cheapside where 5/3 Pavillon takes place has up and coming businesses and local restaurants to meet everyone's need. It is almost like the history of cheapside has been washed away.

Emmy the chambermaid stole the necklace because she was jealous. First of all, the glass from the broken window in the door is scattered outside the room. This shows that the job was clearly done from someone on the inside. It’s important to notice this because it rules out the neighbor as the criminal. For if it was Honore’ Schmidt--coming into the hotel room from the balcony--the glass would have to be inside the room from him punching the glass in. That leaves only Emmy and Mrs. Van Bliven herself. So the second reason is that the chambermaid has a more realistic reason to have stolen the necklace. And that is jealousy of Mrs. Van Bliven’s wealth. From what can be acquired from the description of the woman and the crime scene itself, it is no secret that Horatio Van Bliven is a rich lady. Not to…

The Genre: You’re familiar with the book and movie reviews that appear in newspapers, magazines, and websites. They are just one kind of evaluative writing, but from them we can identify the key components of the genre. First, there is the object to be evaluated. Often this is a single thing—a music CD, a scholarly study, a corporation—but it can also be an idea or process: the impact of a particular band on rock history, the importance of a new trend in scholarly opinion, or the management practices used by a particular sector of industry.
