My name is Andrea and this is my fish, Lily.
She is a Gunnel Fish. I’m going to give you some advices on how to catch her but it won’t be that easy.
Body Type
Her body is slender and compressed.
She has a ribbon body shape, kind of like an eel.
She is camouflaged so it’s hard to find her.
Her mouth is on top, so she feeds anything above her.
Her tail is squared, so can swim away very quickly for short distances so you need to catch her fast and don’t let go. Habitat
Lily lives in the Rocky Seashore and is very well-adapted in her area.
Rocky Seashore is contained with algae and rocks.
With her body color, she can easily camouflage between them. Coloration
Lily is very hard to see since she can blend in with her area.
She is a brown-greenish color for her to blend in with the algae and rocks.
Mouth shape - Diet
Her mouth is on the top and has teeth.
Lily eats prey from the surface and anything above her.
They prey on small crustaceans and mollusks.
Predators
Some predators she has are basically the larger fishes and sea gulls.
They are very slippery so it’ll be hard for the birds to catch them.
Adaptions
Since she can camouflaged to her surrounding, it’s easy for her to survive from the predators.
Best foods that is suitable for her mouth shape is small food like crustaceans and mollusks.
