Building a movement always challenges the status quo. Leaders must act, they must willingly risk the things they love and unfortunately, many leaders are frozen by the lethargy of indecision i. Union General George B. McClellan, who was meticulous in his planning and preparations, was also known for not aggressively challenging his opponents on a fast-moving battlefield environment. He chronically overestimated the strength of the enemy and was reluctant to apply principles of mass, frequently leaving large portions of his army unengaged at decisive points ii. At no time was this more evident during the only battle of the Civil War in which McClellan led his troops from start to finish. His performance during the bloody Battle of Antietam blunted General Robert E. Lee’s invasion of Maryland, but also allowed him to eke out a precarious tactical draw and avoid destruction despite being grossly outnumbered on the battlefield iii. His missteps challenged the principles of building cohesive teams thru mutual trust, creating shared understanding, and above all, accepting prudent risks.…

Very much the same as the A’ Vehicle Section Commander, I have drawn a mega phone to represent the B’ Vehicle Section Commander. In the mega phone you will see and “B” just in order to dis firer between “B” and “A”. This is a section commanders position and they take the plans and orders from everyone above and ensure the detachments below complete the objective. Under the B’ Vehicle Section Commander there is the Heavy Equipment Detachment and Light Vehicle Detachment. The orders from the B’ Vehicle Section Commander are supposed to go directly down to their subordinate. However, this often is not the case as they cross command A’ section detachments this is why the mega phones is not directed…

Communication is important in relationships as it allows us to share our interest, concerns, and support one other; organize our lives and make decisions. Communication allows us to work together. Effective communication is based on the way we talk and listen, and how we respond with our body language. We can all learn how to improve the way we communicate but it takes more than words to create a safe, exciting and secure relationship. Too often the signals we send are not those we intend, when this happens, often both connection and trust are lost in our relationships.…
