Every decade had certain fashion trends that, to our generation, would be considered different from what is normal to wear. Despite all the dangerous things happening around the war and yet even in the United States. However 80s fashion wouldn’t be around till this day thanks to the trends of the high-waisted pants and other classic trends.

In 1981 Ronald Reagan became president, an American politician, commentator, and actor who served as the 40th President of the U.S. His term saw a restoration of prosperity at home, with the goal of achieving "peace through strength" abroad. (no author)
1984 Miami Vice was shot in Miami, Florida. The show was centered on two vice cops that worked deep undercover as seedy criminals to infiltrate and bring down the various criminal enterprises of southern Florida.

All the pastel and fluorescent colors used for set and costumes both became very popular around the U.S. Plain trousers and T-shirts in different pastel colored shades paired with a rumpled lined jackets became a casual trends. Also blazers, pleated pants, and loafers without socks became a fashionable trend in menswear. Princess Diana set trends all over the world from her 25-foot train dress from her wedding. The dress was known as the “Meringue Dress’ because of the huge puffball sleeves and full skirt. When she got engaged, almost everything she wore from her fluffy layered hair to the sling-back shoes she often wore, was scrutinized. After she got divorced she wore Christian Lacroix which was manly black jackets and balloon dresses. (Frankle)
