Borrowing money from a friend can strain even the strongest relationship. When the borrowed money will soon be plunked down on a blackjack table, the impact on the friendship can be devastating.
Woody Robinson and Al Hunt were sitting side by side at a blackjack table in Tunica,
Mississippi. The two longtime friends and their wives were spending their summer vacation together as they had several times. After three days of loitering in the casinos that line the banks of the Mississippi River 20 miles south of Memphis, Woody found himself hitting up his friend for loans. By the end of the vacation, Woody owed Al nearly $5,000. The question facing Woody was how he would repay his friend.1

Still, the safety of these estimates can be compared with actual field measurements upon the return of the evacuees. However, the high degree of compliance with the stipulated limit in all the towns suggest that additional protection measures would be unnecessary, especially for the indoor residents. Overall, the relationship between the external ambient and individual doses was critical to predicting the annual doses per evacuee upon returning home to either of the areas under investigation. Generally, the doses for external exposure were much higher than those for internal exposure. Perhaps, the time of exposure in outdoor settings might have provided more realistic predictions of individual dose…

Not notifying his hosts was a sign of disrespect, and the unclear excuse made by Wally Astor compounded the issue. The second misstep occurred when Wally innocently dressed for travel and not for business. Wally should have taken the time to research his Brazilian counterparts, and their how they view respect, and business dealings Brazilians dress formally for business dealings and take pride in their appearance.
