The following essay is a compilation of my personal experiences, definitions, and examples of how responsibility and accountability are important to surviving in today's Army. Responsibility is increased when soldiers have a single, clear set of rules that apply to a specific event. When the guidelines are unclear, or when more than one set of rules seems to apply to an event, responsibility is decreased. Responsibility is: the obligation for the proper, custody, care, and safekeeping of property or funds entrusted to the possession or supervision of an individual. Being responsible in the US Army has got to be of the utmost importance in my opinion. Throughout the past few months I have been dealing with many problems physically and mentally,…

Being in the Army challenges a person on multiple levels. People undergo many obstacles during their career in the Army, or military for that matter. While facing these challenges and obstacles, we are tasked as soldiers, seamen, airmen, and marines, to hold ourselves to a higher standard, to exceed the standard, to bear true faith to our country, the seven Army values, warrior ethos, warrior tasks and battle drills; in which myself as a soldier, have not. As a soldier, I failed to hold my weight as part of my duty to meet this standard. During Basic Combat Training, we were given multiple classes about the seven army values. Loyalty was the first army value we were taught, “Bear true faith and allegiance to the U.S. Constitution, the Army, your unit and other Soldiers. Bearing true faith and allegiance is a matter of believing in and devoting yourself to something or someone. A loyal Soldier is one who supports the leadership and stands up for fellow Soldiers. By wearing the uniform of the U.S. Army you are expressing your loyalty. And by doing your share, you show your loyalty to your unit.” Showing loyalty can be one of the most important things you can do as a soldier. If your unit cannot see or prove that you are loyal, there will be no trust in the unit, for the mission, or on a personal level. With this, I have broken my promise in staying loyal to myself, to my leadership, my unit, and the Army itself.…

Conversations are the ideal form of communication in some respects, since they allow people with different views of a topic to learn from each other. For a successful conversation, the partners must achieve a workable balance of contributions. The employment of dialogue has the power to add a sense of realism to the story by integrating the dimension of speech to the characters. This in turn adds depth, power and authenticity to ones’ work. The play ‘the club; written by David Williamson, the film ‘Meet Joe Black’ directed by Martin Brest and the lyrics “Father and Son’ by Cat Stevens all allow the audience to connect with the characters effectively through the composers’ use of language techniques and themes of dialogue.…

Today's world is full of competition. There is no space for comfort in this throat-cut competition. And our Educational board is providing relief to the students by introducing grading system in board. In my view grading system will made students more relax & there will be no competition to score good or high marks. This will directly affect their competitive attitude, which is I think will be not good for students. In this world, lack of competitive attitude in a person means they will not survive in the world. Students are the future of their country, so how can they bright the future of their country when they are no where in this breath-taking world...??As we all know, there is two sides- one is positive & another one is negative. Our Educational Board who thinks to reduce the suicidal cases of students. But what abt the students who are getting more than 90% marks...??Let us consider, if a student gets 90% & another one is getting 85% but the grade awarded to them is same....then what is the use of 90% marks. This will totally discourage them. They will be depressed. They will think what's the need of so much hard working when there is no use of it.Take a real experience of mine in engineering, I talk to one of my senior, who is meritorious student of his branch, he told me that in the first semester, he studied too much, gave full time to studies & scored 90% marks but he said what's the use of it. His colleagues who didn't study well also scoring equivalent marks to him. I know these all thoughts were came in the minds of the students."Marks doesn't matter, knowledge matters"The main reason of increasing suicidal cases is a worrying issue. The reason behind it, is the lack of good & effective education. In the end, I strongly oppose the Grading System. Our education should not be a burden for students. They should be encourage not discourage. Parents & teachers only helps students to overcome it & of course students also…
