So I started to prep my show box and trailer. I cleaned the box and the trailer, I got all my brushes back together and refilled my sope. Then it came time to leave so we loade Mady and Suzzie and we left for the show. When we got there and we were unloading Suzzie when Mady got loose from my dad and I had to chaser her all through the barn, but other then that it went very well. The next day that I got to the barn we had to start cleaning Suzzie up for her first big show and I was worried, but when it came time for me to start working it all just became nothing. The way that we got her show ready was by blowing her out to get all of the dirt out of her hair, then giving her a bath to get her smelling pretty like a girl. Then I blow her hair out to get her hair dry, and to get her hair to point the right way. Then I started to brusher her to get her hair just right once I got it how I wanted. That's when they called my class, and when I got there they sent me in. So I went in they told me to set her up for a butt profile, then a side profile. Then the judge started to place. Sadly he did not thank that we were that good. He placed use in sixth. I would have licked to have done better but it is what it is. So we load up and went home we would have to do this many more time all the time we would place in a different place, but this year in the Wilson County Show I was able to win my shorthorn class with…

On the first day of practice he introduced himself as “Jimmy Johnson” our defense line coach. He had a beer belly and glasses and slick wet hair and nappy eye brows and an itchy musty beard. His breath smelled like dog liver. My first impression of him is he just looks weird and mean. We began practice we ran around cones. We went over plays. Where we should line up according to the offense. Coach Johnson always thought he knew what is best for us. He would have running like slaves on D’jango. Coach ran the soles off my cleats. After all this running, my girdle begun chafing creating a rash like an unchanged baby. My feet would always hurt after practice. Looking down my feet was throbbing like a heartbeat. We would run all the lines on the…

I suddenly realized that no one could ever find out. Rushing to my car I flung the door open and got inside. Racing home I felt the nerves stream through my body. Inside the house I gradually walked to my bedroom and stepped inside. Creeping over to the loose floorboard I felt the sweat drip from my palm. Kneeling down I moved the old board aside and picked up the substantial object. The leather brown sides felt rough as I gently ran my fingers over it. Gathering my thoughts I brought myself to open the ominous object. The bold black letters appeared to be more frightening than I thought. Jaxson Eugene Brown emerged from the thick yellow page and sent a shiver down my back. As I continued to read the frightening book the last sentence almost stopped me in my tracks. May 1st, 2016 Jaxson Eugene Brown will be pronounced dead.…

“Sometimes quiet is violent,” those words ring into the teeming stadium as thousands of zealous fans sing along. One of those fans happen to be myself, standing in the middle of the pit of people. Two shadowy silhouettes exist on stage; one on the piano and the other on the drums. Then suddenly the lights flash revealing an immense sign labeled Twenty One Pilots. Tyler Joseph on the piano, and Josh Dunn on the drums. Tyler only concentrates on the piano, barely letting the singing crowd impede his focus. Josh is coated in a thick layer of sweat, as he gently strikes the cymbals, just enough to give an ominous feel. As the middle of their song, “Car Radio” approaches, Josh asks Tyler to sit in a chair. Although we want to cheer, conversely, we watch in anticipation, as Tyler obscured by a white sheet, just barely covering his scrawny body. Abruptly, Josh removes the sheet, and Tyler is gone.…

After 7 months of searching, we had finally found the location of the sixteenth artifact for our collection. After piecing together all of the stories and legends, we finally found a bit of truth. The Vial Of Fire was an ancient weapon that was said to be created by the Egyptians. In their time it was a medicine designed to give someone the ability to ignite in flames for a small amount of time, and was used mostly for cauterizing wounds of friends injured while building the pyramids. We had already found The Vial of Strength, and the The Vial of Speed from the same time period. Each of these vials had the last remaining ounces of the immensely powerful potions that made it possible for humans to make the pyramids on their own. After…

The judge called the people one by one until the 3rd person went. Scores were gave. It was then my turn. I went to the middle ring. I tripped on my uniform, got up and did my form wrong. I completely flipped out and melted. I was sobbing on the red and blue mat. Then the master judge came over to me and asked “Would you like to try again? We can only give you 3 points but you can go again.”…

Every morning I wake up to the annoying sound of Abigael’s alarm clock and the smell of my own leather. Don’t get me wrong; I love waking up to the song, “Endlessly” by the Cab, but does it have to be at six-fifteen in the morning every day even on weekends? I mean, does she not like to sleep? I’ll never understand it. Once Abigael finally wakes up, the anticipation starts to set in. Which pair of shoes will she choose today? Fortunately for me there’s not too much competition. There are the smelly sneakers, the blue heels, myself, and then there’s the cowboy boots. I cannot stand those cowboy boots and there are three pairs of them! I understand that since I am an ankle boot myself, I should get along with them more, but I hate them. They always pick on me since I’m too short to be considered a cowboy boot, which leaves me in this odd in between group…

The team we were up against was the fierce, very talented number 2 in the state, the Rattlers. Recruiting players from all over the country to play on one team, they were a powerhouse no doubt. Josh back in the lineup after sitting out that last game and the hour break we had, he was all fueled up and ready to go. First inning comes up and they bat first putting up a enormous number of runs counting up to 10 in the first. We came back with a 2 run inning. shut them down in the second, and came back another 3 run inning cutting their lead in half. Slowly gaining momentum we knew what we came here to dude and that was to win this championship. Third inning rolls around and we shut them down for the second consecutive inning. We come to bat, three walks in a row and im due up with the bases loaded. Pitcher throwing close to 92 mph, look almost impossible to hit. first pitches goes by and my eyes widened that was the fastest thing i've ever seen right down the pipe for strike one. Next pitch same result. Third pitch i knew it was coming, i reached back threw my bat at the ball and hit a GRAND SLAM! Putting out team down just 1 run with 3 innings to…

Horse showing is not an easy task. It is hours upon hours of going in circles and patterns around the arena. You have to know all the right patters and ques as well as having everything spot on and perfect. It is perfect chaos. I smiled to myself at how perfect this show was going. I’ve only been showing for 2 years and so far I’ve gotten $10, 1 ribbon, and a good job from my trainer. If you were me, you would understand how exciting it was. My trainer, Dominique, is also the real owner of my horse and my same age best friend. I had never won anything at a horse show before. More than anything I got mad because I could never get Drifter to listen or did something wrong. So, yeah, It was a pretty special night. However, sitting here…

It was a week away and surprisingly I was calm for the upcoming event. Usually I would be nervous from the top of my head all the way down to the bottom of my toes, but I had so much confidence that it was inspiring to others. Knowing that the big day was 2 days away, of course I had to go out and buy new equipment so I could not play the part, but also look the part. Shortly after buying a new Nike helmet, Swingman batting gloves and a brand new solid pro maple SamBat I immediately went to the cages. The bat had the biggest sweet spot and the most pop out of all my bats. The ball hitting of the barrel sounded like gunshots. I felt like taking a million swings, but I knew if I stayed there for a long time I would be a little tired for the big day so I only took 100 swings and called it a day. Finally the next day I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock with the mindset of determination. I quickly got dressed in the proper sports attire and fled out the house with my brother. On the way there I had the speakers on blast playing the most inspiring and highest BPM songs I had on my play-list. After arriving to the parking lot I had walked to the front entrance of the stadium where they had given me a shirt with a specific number and a cap so it could be worn on the field. After suiting up and taking the first step on the field, the amazing view of the inside of a baseball stadium had me speechless. Knowing that professionals play here too had me feeling proud that I was doing something with my life and that hopefully it was going to lead me somewhere better. Before starting all the drills and the showcasing of the performance of the players, the commissioner of the league had a few words to say. Shortly after the speech was done, we had finally started to begin! Everyone was split into different groups. Some kids were hitting, some were pitching, and some were taking ground balls. I was put into the hitting…
