Review Answers:
1) Positive parenting is an approach that seeks to encourage good behavior in children through clear guidelines and rules. Good communication, rewarding and modeling good behavior, and promoting healthy self-esteem in children. This is believed to be the best parenting style. I would use this parenting style with my kids.
2) Discipline teaches a child how to act. This actions should make sense to a child. It should have something to do with what he has done wrong. Discipline helps a child feel good about himself. It gives him the chance to correct his mistakes. It puts him in charge of his actions. On the other hand, punishment only tells a child that she is bad. Most of the time punishment is bad
3) Active listening is when the kid learns from being given feedback about what they do. Parents tend to use active listening so their child learns from what they did and what they can do to fix what they did.
4) Guidance is when you assist your child with the stuff they are given. Letting them know your point of view. A parent can give guidance by teaching a kid how to do something, for example when the parent is doing laundry and he/she calls their kid to help and they teach their kid to fold clothes
5) Families and parents can get support and resources from The U.S. Children's Bureau, U.S. government, Head Start, and Medicaid.

There are many ideas and opinions on how to raise children and how to be a “good parent.” Often, parents get advice on how to parent from their own parents, from their close friends, and even experts. There are three main types of parenting styles: authoritarian parenting, permissive parenting, and authoritative parenting. Authoritative parenting is a parenting style characterized by strict rules, harsh punishments and little warmth. Permissive parenting is characterized by parents who are responsive to their children, but lack rules and discipline. Authoritative parenting is characterized by parents who hold high expectations and set clear guidelines, but are responsive and loving to their children. Parenting styles determine the behaviour of children. The most effective parenting style, the authoritative style, can help lead to positive outcomes for children. It is significant to know what impact each parenting style has on a child's behaviour due to certain parenting styles having a negative effect, and certain styles having positive and healthy effects on a child's behaviour.…

There are many ideas about how to nurture children. Some parents implement the ideas their own parents used, others get advice from friends and some read books about parenting. Other parents also take classes offered in the community to determine how to raise their children. There is not a single person with all the right answers. However, psychologists and other social scientists now know what parenting styles are most effective and are more likely to lead to constructive outcomes for children. Ideas about raising children can be categorized into three styles. The three different parenting styles that will be discussed are the authoritarian style, authoritative style, the permissive and the uninvolved parenting.
