Please use this space to tell us why you need financial assistance to attend college.

I am fortunate to have been blessed in a financially stable household without many crises in my life. However, my parents have definitely emphasized the value of hard work and did not believe in handing over whatever my heart’s desire may be. It has been frustrating at times, but with that discipline came a sense of appreciation for my earnings and achievements. Texas A&M has always been a dream university of mine, and due to hard work and grades to show for it, I was awarded the privilege of the school’s acceptance. And just as when I was a kid, they did not see it morally correct to just hand over the high expense tuition without any help from me, proving their point of the ‘real world’ not working that way. And that hopefully these scholarships will be a reward in itself for all the time invested in the activities participated in and achieved at over my high school years. As I will also be prepared for my future outside of high school that does not spoon feed, but what is earned is worked hard for.

Please attach a narrative (no more than 2 pages) detailing your project. This project can be a Farm Bureau promotional activity or a community service project promoting agriculture. Please discuss how you planned, coordinated and carried out the project (one 8 ½’ x 11” page of pictures or other supporting documentation may be included with the application).
