Importance of Money
Noone can deny the importance of money in life. However, whether or not it is actually the only thing people are interested in today is much of controversy. Some people believe that money can buy everything when the others assert that it cannot. From my point of view, there are a lot of achievements rather than money although I can live without it. Sometimes, I wish to be a millionaire who does not have to worry about life with tons of burden. But it seems to be meaningless for me to come in for a well-to-do life without endeavor for any reason. Perhaps, for me, money is not able to buy happiness but it helps me to be closer to happiness.
Money is very important because of its value in daily life. Without money, we do not have accommodation, food, and clothes which are considered the basic necessities. In almost developing country, children cannot go to school when their parents do not have money. They have to do manual works in bad conditions and university is definitely far-away dream. Money seems to be the most important issue for those. For those at the middle class, money gives them a comfortable life. I totally believe that many of us would be definitely excited with a trip around Europe or luxury limos. It is so great when coming to a party with perfect appearance with Channel dress, Hermes bags and shoes from Christian Louboutin. In this case, money is not only satisfy a normal life but also bring convenience and proud. The most important advantage of being rich is that your health will be protected well when you have a lot of money. It is true for every social system. A millionaire can pay a lot of money for the best hospital, best doctor and best technology while a poor unemployed woman mainly depend on social subsidies with cheapest medicines. If you do not have enough money, please wait without any requirements. Life has never been equal, particularly between the rich and the poor in the society and demand of being rich is very easy to understand.

Although money can buy our necessary needs such as a bed, computers, books, food, and acquaintances, it can't buy respect, common sense, a purpose in life, a close-knit family and a strong work ethic. In my opinion, money can buy the illusion of happiness, but the true happiness has no money value. Also, money can also ruin your social relationship between your friends and family. From the story "The Scholarship Jacket", it told a story of a girl, named Marta, who grew up her with her father, who was a farm laborer, but he didn't make enough money to feed eight of his children. So she moved to live with her grandparents But despite having no money, she had a loving family, and it didn't stop her from working hard to achieve her goals, to have…

Throughout history money has been providing happiness and joy to most people. Allowing people to be free from financial issues and allowing then to achieve financial dreams however, money is not the total answer to success and happiness. Wisdom and truth are more important. The great Greek philosopher Socrates warned his fellow citizens by saying “are you not ashamed of heaping up the greatest amount of money and honour and reputation, and caring so little about wisdom and truth and the greatest improvement of the soul.” Unfortunately Socrates said that hundreds of years ago but this is a challenge that still relevant in today’s world because this world that we live in is full of mindless and unconscious people who believe that money and their reputation is the path to success and happiness. I personally disagree with this believe because I think that wisdom and truth are more important to success in wisdom and truth lays the foundation of every person. Once we have the wisdom money becomes secondary.…

There is a quote “Money is necessary for a person to live a happy life but does not, in itself, guarantee happiness.” In my opinion, it depends on what type of lifestyle you live. If you have an extravagant taste, for example, you will need money to satisfy your needs. But if you live a rather simplistic life, you won’t need nearly as much money to conciliate your desires. Overall, I disagree with this quote.…

This never ending pursuit of money has made the society a selfish one. People forget that there are many things that money can't buy. A Chinese proverb summarizes this argument very well by saying that money can buy a house but it cannot make a home, that it can not buy time, sleep knowledge, health, respect and a good life only the material aspects can be bought but not ones that come from within. Stephen R. Covey in his book ' seven habits of highly effective people also mentions that some of us tend to be centered around money and so our sense of security and happiness is directly related to how much money we have and since its human nature to never be satisfied with what one has he is likely to remain unhappy most of the time. Even a huge increase in wealth is unlikely to satisfy such a person. For this purpose we need to alter our centres to what we really want at the end of our…

People are what is important in life, as Gatsby learned the hard way. Wealth lasts only for a short time, whereas connections with people will last past death. There is little happiness in wealth, it may remove some of the physical problems such as bills, but there will always be the sorrow that other people inflict. Such as the way of life, nothing is perfect. Money does not change that, money does not make someone a better person, it only makes them more susceptible to others. There are no price tags on…

    Role of Money

The classical economists were of the view that money was discovered to remove the defects of barter. The important functions of money for them were to serve as a medium of exchange and standard of material. They examined in detail the characteristics of a good money material and the forces which operate in determining the value of money. The classical economists were of the view that the volume of output, the quantity and quality of the goods to be consumed, the volume of exchange, distribution of wealth, rate of saving and investment, etc., are not to be influenced by the use of money. They, therefore, regarded money as neutral. To quote Adam Smith "The gold and silver money which circulates in any one country may very properly be compared to a highway which while it circulates and carries to market all the grass and corn of the country, produces not a single pile of either." In the words of Jevon, "Accustomed from our earliest years to the use of money, we are unconscious of the inestimable benefit which it confers upon us and only when we recur to oblige their different states of society we can realize the difficulties which arise in its absence. Robertson in his book Principles of Money' states "Money enables man as consumer to generalize his purchasing power and make his claims on society in the form which suits him most."…

In this topic we will be studying and describing the fundamental role that money plays in facilitating exchange and, thereby, allowing for specialization. Why Specialization? Then you need to think about it: why money leads to specialization? why an economy needs to use money at all . We may also discuss on the disadvantages of barter. The other thing that need to be focused on is measurement of money. Why we have different type of measurement of money supply? What is the purpose? Last and not least the idea of the payments system, that is, a discussion on the evolution of the payments system from precious metals to currency and checks to electronic funds transfer services—such as automated teller machines (ATMs) and debit cards.…

In a world where money is king, people are often the joker. The quote, “There is no such thing as a free lunch,” nearly encases the world’s consumption in a nutshell. A consumer cannot benefit from lower prices without causing lower wages or mistreatment to an employee somewhere else in the world. We, as Americans, seem to love saving money in every which way we can and often don’t see nor realize our impact. It really bothers me that ethics and business seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum most of the time. In my life, I’ve got to only touch on, thankfully, what it feels like to be physically and mentally mistreated in a work environment in my life thus far. As a 16-year-old kid, working my first job at Gertens caused disappointment as well as a feeling that I’ve previously never felt before: exploitation.…
